I recently got so many messages about weight gain in recovery. How scary and difficult that is, that you are obsessed and can't get over that. I understand that is hard and that you can't get over that overnight. But here are some of the mine tips that helped me to get thought that fear.

1. WHEN YOU WERE LITTLE...
When you are born yes they weigh you and measure you. But the real point is that you are alive and healthy. Doctors don't write the number of your weight on your forehead, and your parents don't measure you because of your weight. They are simply so so happy to have a baby that is alive and present.

2. GET RID OF SCALE
Hide it, destroy it, just don't look at it. I know it is hard not to weigh yourself after every meal but you have the power of your actions. You get to decide to be better. So do something good today, ask parents to hide it, or through that in a trash bag just don't ever look at the scale.

3. WHAT IS WEIGHT?
Every human has weight, every human has a different body shape, different mindset, different goals, dreams, and passions. Weight is just a number, number of smiles, memories, happiness...
If you don't have weight, you don't have a body and life, if you don't have a body and life you aren't alive. Weight is your body, so don't compare yourself to a specific number, because you are so much more.

4. FAT
The first thing that you thought about when you say weight gain is fat. But what is fat on your body, that isn't something bad! Fat is skin that keeps your organs secured, fat keeps your bones in place and makes your body moving. Without fat women will not have periods, without fat humans won't be able to walk, without fat your body won't be the same, without fat you are not a human. I'm not saying that you are fat, no, no, no, never, fat is just a skin that keeps you alive.

5. GAINING WEIGHT
You think when you gain weight, that you will be fat. Gaining weight in recovery from an eating disorder is a gift.
You are scared of gaining because people won't like you, because you will not be thin enough, because you will be fat, not good enough, not happy enough. All you think is losing and dieting, but let me tell you losing weight is the most DISGUSTING thing in this world. Gaining weight isn't the end of the world. When I gain weight I didn't gain just those numbers, I gain happiness, responsibility, freedom, friends, dreams, and passions. I have hair again. Gaining weight is the best thing that happened to me.

6. YOU won't GAIN FOREVER
Everybody is so ashamed and scared that when they start gaining they will never stop. I am still gaining and I know that my body will reach a certain point the amount of weight that will keep me alive and help me be happy and have my period. First, you will shoot a bit over but your body will maintain that weight and YOU won't GAIN FOREVER.

7.WANT TO BE BETTER
Choose to love yourself even if you have some extra kilograms and so what? So what if someone notice and comment. Isn't the point of life to live and you can't live without a body, you are a soul and you spark with love you have the power to heal your body, to help it reach that healthy point and live again!
