Will I be scared? Would I be fat?... How to get over that fear and when to start. I am still struggling but I got through a lot of my fears over these few months of my recovery, and I finally feel able to share this with you. Because I don't feel triggered and scared anymore.
1. WRITE DOWN ALL OF YOUR FEAR FOOD
Rip a piece of paper and write down every fear food you have.
2. SEPARATE THEM IN CATEGORIES
Hard and Easy category. Fear food that you can eat right now and isn't that hard.
Example: You want to eat banana chips, first start with banana and then slowly start with chips.
Pizza, start with a small portion of pasta with some sauce. Then a beagle pizza, slowly make that pizza bigger and then more to the real stuff
Chocolate, start with rice cookies with a bit of chocolate spread, chocolate cookies, one bite of chocolate and then more to the whole.
3. SLOWLY INCREASE PORTIONS
If a beagle is normal to you, try to add spread and half of the beagle on your next meal. Peace of chocolate try two, protein bar tries to add two in one meal. Whatever your fear food was and now you feel more confident around it try to add just a bit more.
4.TRACK YOUR PROGRESS
I like to have a notebook where I put packages of every fear food I ate. And I rate them and it makes my journey so much interesting because I can look back and see omg that isn't my fear no more.
5. PRACTICE MAKES PERFECT
Dont just think that you are free from your fear after one meal and peace of chocolate. Your journey is beginning. Your fight for life needs to be stronger, get exciting for next meal, get ready to do it againg until you feel free.
6. NUTRITION PROBLEM
You and probably scared of that food because of the nutrition value but try to switch it. Avocado is maybe so so scary but isn't I beautiful that that food can help you gain your person and give you back your life, because it is full of healthy fats. Sweets can stop your constant cravings and gave you the ability to finally enjoy at the parties because you broke the rule.
7. NEVER WAIT
Dont wait for Friday, tomorrow or Monday. Your time is now the moment that food comes to your mind no matter if nobody is here you ARE DOING THIS FOR YOU! This is your time to show and shine you can do it!
