What does it mean to live for yourself?

It means to live for your satisfaction in life. To do what makes You happy. Finding balance and center and not thinking about anyone's approval. 

What is living for others means?

Trying to fit in certain molds of success, passions, and habits. Trying to impress someone. Living for others means living to please others, living for external validation and approval.

1. KNOW YOURSELF AND EXPLORE

Let go of the future, past thinking. 

Everything you think that will make you happy is based on your past experiences, and living and spending time thinking about the past will just lead to wishing you could go back and do something about them. Be present here and let go of negative thoughts.

Living for yourself means to be happy and there can be 100 different things and hobbies in this world that could satisfy your soul and you don't know about them unless you take action. Meet people, seek out a variety of experiences and perspectives so that you open up your mind and see what’s possible for you.

2. CHANGE YOUR THINKING

Be your authentic self. If you feel stuck in thinking about others ask yourself: What do I love? What motivates me? What makes me happy?

There will be voices of doubt, negativity, people won't understand. But the journey on living for yourself is simply asking and putting yourself first. 

3. WE ARE ALL GOING TO DIE

At the end of the day, we are all humans and we all have to die at some point in our lives. But don't overwhelm yourself with that. Simply ask yourself in a mirror every morning 

IF THIS WAS MY LAST DAY WOULD I LIVE IT LIKE THIS?

4. SPEND TIME WITH YOURSELF

Learn how your body reacts, feel and breathe. Be aware of your being you are only and unique and trying to impress someone for something you aren't is just a waste of energy. When you live for yourself, you take full responsibility for your actions and how you respond to life’s events.


5. LOOK AT YOURSELF / DONT COMPARE

If you did something really meaningful or you want to take another big step in your career but you are scared of what others may think of you. Look at yourself in the mirror take a step back and a deep breath. Is comparing your food worth your time. You are not going to be better by comparing you need to focus on yourself you have your own body let go of others.
