We all know the feeling of bad body image, some days I cant look myself in a mirror so I hide all of them and put my dad's hoodie on.
I have a bad body image because of my big weight gain, and constant gaining in recovery. It is hard to cope with that but I learned some tricks to deal with it better.

1. YOU ARE NOT YOUR BODY YOU ARE A UNIVERSE INSIDE OF YOUR BODY
You are not the physical appearance you are a born and living human being with a unique purpose. You've got a body and shape, and so does everyone else, but you have something unique and it is not your body it is your purpose, your hobbies, your dreams your creativity. You are more than a physics you are a whole universe with the task of making a difference.
I love to repeat this affirmation throughout the day.
2.PUT A BIG HOODIE ON

Get in your dad's or brother's clothes and pick up some hoodie. You will feel smaller because they are hopefully grown asses men and have bigger numbers so it is easier to hide in.

3.HUG YOURSELF
It's really simple you have two hands just wrap them around you and thank your body for existing.

4.FOCUS ON SOMETHING ELSE
Paint, play an instrument, study, ride a bike... Get lost in your passion.
5.ALLOW EMOTIONSIf you wanna cry, then cry, feel angry, tired, uncomfortable... Just don't let emotions take away your real power, don't let them ride your car of life. Cry it out and get up and smile.

6.BE GENTLE AND KIND
Lay in bed and just know that this will pass it is just a bad thought you need to get rid of. So take your paper and pen and write about your feelings and after that, you can burn that, so you feel this deeper relief inside.
