A relapse is one of the most frustrating, humiliating experiences you can face in recovery from any problem habit. It leaves you feeling guilty, ashamed and tempted to throw in the towel and just keep acting out on the addiction. I know it is scary but at some point we all are going to experience relapse. I personally experienced relapse 3 times and I am constantly fighting and trying my best to find motivation. Here are some of mine tips to get out of relapse. You can also watch my YouTube video on this topic my video

1. SUPPORT

Great support system. It is always great to have somebody on a healthy side to help you.

I know that sometimes you won't have perfect support but you can always seek professional help, online help and you can always DM ME ON MY INSTAGRAM Getting annoyed more easily than you normally do, snapping at friends and loved ones, or getting angry more quickly can all be signs of depression relapse. Loss of your interests: This is often one of the earliest signs of depression, and shows up in a lack or total loss in previous interests or hobbies.

2. REDUCE NEGATIVE PEOPLE

You don't need to reduce all the people. Reduce people who are constantly obsessed with their weight, look... Try to surround yourself with somebody positive and somebody who will be there for you. Better have one real friend than 100 fake.

3. IDENTIFY YOUR TRIGGER

A trigger is anything that can cause you to return to your old eating disorder behaviors or thoughts.  Maybe your trigger is when you see that your friend doesn't eat lunch or your sister skipping dinner. Or just looking at the gym equipment. Write it down on paper and remember we all have different triggers.

4. MAKE A PLAN TO DEAL WITH TRIGGERS

If you are triggered by others not eating always remember that you are IN RECOVERY!  and you need to focus on yourself I know it is easier said than done but realizing that you are in recovery and that you are your own being it is a big step. Take a nap, meditate, paint or go for a walk just so you don't have to deal with triggers, clear your mind.

5. ALWAYS EAT

No matter what happened, what time it is, or if nobody is watching. Not eating and skipping meals will become a bad habit again, the restricting amount can cause a lot of damage to your body and metabolism. Believe me, better increase than skip because somebody didn't eat that cake you wanted them. Remember you are the only one who can help yourself.

6. FIND A HOBBIT

Find something that will get you out of your zone and mind.

7.TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF
